Bloom Box Botanicals

Bloom Box Botanicals is a family-owned flower farm, growing since 2021 in Saint Louis and Fredericktown, Missouri.

My husband and I started it as something we could build together. He wanted to spend his retirement at the farm in Fredericktown, and I’m still working full time in St. Louis, so for now we grow in both places. Our goal is to make the farm our full-time work, though we aren’t there quite yet.

We aren’t certified organic, but we care for our environment and grow with that in mind. We rely on organic fertilizers and pest control, grow no-till, compost, and reuse our plastics wherever we can. Local flowers also mean a smaller carbon footprint, and less of the pesticide and water use common in the global flower trade.

We grow wholesale cut flowers and woods-grown botanicals, including hellebores, for florists in the St. Louis area and southeast Missouri. We focus on material chosen with florists in mind: unusual varieties, interesting foliage and grasses, dried stems, and flowers grown for strong stems and good vase life. Our availability list goes out every Thursday morning, spring through fall, and florists reserve what they need by replying to the email.
